In order to evaluate the quality and safety of smart phone built-in LED flashlight products, Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau conducted quality and safety risk monitoring on smart phone products produced and sold in this city. A total of 19 batches of samples were collected, covering the main brands produced and sold in the city, using IEC 62471:2006 "Photobiosafety of lamps and lamp systems", IEC/TR 62471-2:2009 "Light and lamp systems of light organisms" Safety - Part 2: Manufacturer's Guide, IEC/TR 62778:2012 "Photobiosafety Blu-ray Damage Assessment Application for Light Sources and Luminaires", GB/T 20145:2006 "Photobiosafety of Lights and Lamp Systems", etc. It is required to carry out risk monitoring on the blue light injury project of the built-in LED flashlight of the smartphone.
After inspection, the blue light damage of the built-in LED flashlights of the 19 batches of products is all Class 1 hazard (low risk), that is, under the normal exposure conditions, the lamp has no light biohazard. Based on this risk monitoring situation, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision issued a quality and safety warning to the whole society: mobile phone manufacturers should pay attention to the quality and safety of LED products in mobile phones, and reasonably control the color temperature and brightness of LEDs.
