Third, the method of use

1. Prepare the asphalt sample according to the method of T0602 of this regulation. When testing modified asphalt, the addition of modifier should be carried out according to the required method and stirred evenly.

2. Place the sample container in an oven at 60-80 ° C and preheat for 1 h.

3. Wipe the hemispherical round head with trichloroethylene solution, put it into the positioning bracket for drying, and gradually inject the hot asphalt sample into the preheated sample container with a mass of 50g±1g. Be careful not to mix air bubbles in the sample.

4. Quickly immerse the round hemisphere round head into the asphalt sample. Position the bracket on the top of the sample container and press it with the positioning nut to make the hemisphere round head flush with the asphalt sample and let it stand at room temperature. -1.5h. At this time, the sample is shrunk, and the positioning nut is appropriately adjusted so that the hemispherical round head height is kept flush with the upper surface of the asphalt.

5. Install the installed visco-toughness tester together with the sample in a constant temperature water bath at a temperature of 25 ° C ± 0.1 ° C for at least 1.5 h.

Fourth, the test steps,

1. Remove the visco-toughness tester from the constant temperature water tank, pour off the water on the asphalt surface, and quickly install the upper connecting rod and sampler of the tester between the upper and lower indenter clamps of the tensile testing machine. Note: Do not disturb the relative position of the hemisphere round head and asphalt when installing.

2. Adjust the test machine and start stretching at a speed of 500mm/min immediately. When it is pulled to 300mm, it ends. At this time, the computer display shows the load and the stretching time, and the tensile deformation is obtained by the stretching speed and the stretching time recorded by the X-axis.

3. The time from the removal of the visco-toughness tester from the constant temperature water tank to the end of the test shall not exceed 1 min.
