Mr. Lu was born in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province in 1904. In 1920, he went to France to work and study, and then went to study at the National University of Public Engineering in Paris. In 1925, he worked as a researcher at the School of Urban Planning at the University of Paris. Returned to China in 1929 and worked in the Nanjing Examinations Institute. He came to Taiwan in 1949 and founded the Department of Architecture and Urban Design of the "Chinese Culture University" in Taiwan in 1961.
His main architectural design works include Nanjing Examiner's College, Examination and Selection Committee, Grand Test Center and Department of Sui, Tangshan Wangyun Villa, Nanjing High Court, Taiwan Science Museum, Institute of Electronics, Jiaotong University, staff quarters, Campus Planning of "Chinese Culture University" And Huagang School Building, Dayen Hall, Dayi Hall, Dalun Hall, Feihua Building, Da Enta, the “Judicial Administration Department†Grand Court and Judge Training Center, Taichung Sun Moon Lake Xuan and Ci Si Tower, Examination Court, etc.
His monographs include "Air Defense Construction Engineering", "Air Defense Urban Planning", "New Era Urban Planning", "Modern Architecture", "Chinese Architecture History and Construction Law". His published papers include "New Theory of Architectural Art", "Building Engineering in China in the Past 30 Years", "Knowledge of the Industrialization of the New Era", (Mingtang's New Test--An Ancient Chinese Mingtang in the Imagination of a Chinese Architect) , "Chinese Architecture Reflecting Organic Civilizations", "Urban Planning and Gardening", "Several Concepts of Building a Shielding Atomic Bomb".
He believes that a good architectural design must have a good fit with the urban plan. In teaching, he emphasized that students should try their best to learn professional knowledge in art, engineering, equipment, etc., and have more exposure to literature and philosophy. Only in this way can the depth of design be strengthened.
Mr. Lu Junjun died in Taiwan in 1975.
