According to international standards, LED lighting products that do not produce blue light hazards will have an impact on people's physiology.

Lighting and human natural physiology

The evolutionary process of human beings for millions of years has developed the physiological habit of "sunrise and sunset". See Figure 1. This physiological response is based on the information provided by the human brain cells to the brain. Therefore, from the morning to the evening, use a higher lighting color temperature to enhance people's work mood, and get higher work efficiency.

However, at present, people spend most of their time in the evening, so they need low-color light to give people physical tips, and they are approaching the rest time.

For the color temperature detection of 27 samples, 7 of which have a color temperature much higher than 6500K, or even >100000K, this LED product has exceeded the upper limit of the white color temperature used by lighting products, and the blue component has a considerable proportion, although The LED module of this test sample has a small power and has not yet constituted a blue light hazard, but it is not suitable for general illumination. If this kind of illumination light is used for a long time, it will affect the human's syllabic rhythm, affecting sleep, causing the biological clock to be disordered, thereby reducing human immunity.

According to the latest scientific research at home and abroad, for some people who are prone to insomnia, even lighting products with a color temperature range of 5000K to 6500K are not entirely suitable for use at night.

Comparison of good quality LED lamps and CFL lamps

Figure 2 is a comparison of the spectrum of the LED lamp and the CFL lamp. Looking at the spectral contrast of the cold-color lamp on the left side of the figure, the color temperature of the LED lamp is 1000K lower, and the requirement of the color rendering index is barely achieved when the light effect is maintained. The ratio of red and green light is similar, and the blue ratio of LED lights is slightly lower than that of CFL lamps.

Look at the spectral contrast of the warm-colored lights on the right. The color temperature of the LED lights is 300K higher. The red ratio of the CFL lamps is significantly higher, but the blue ratio is still slightly lower than the LED lights. It can be seen that the LED lamp manufactured by the current technical level only keeps the color rendering index greater than 80, and the color temperature is kept below 4500K, and the blue light component is not higher than the similar CFL lamp.

Figure 3 is a spectrogram of phosphor formulations and coated LED lighting products. The most obvious features are a color temperature of up to 8563 K (normal illumination color temperature of up to 6500 K) and a red R9 of -17.8. The US Energy Star requires that the value of R9 be greater than zero. At present, low-end LED desk lamps such as the Qianjiang Road market; emergency lights; the spectrum of the car headlights installed on the car stalls are basically of this type. Such LED lights cannot be used for lighting, especially for home lighting, office lighting and shopping malls. Illuminated. The existence of such LED lighting products has tarnished the reputation of LED lighting and disrupted the market for LED lighting products. More LED lighting products have shown obvious advantages

At present, the government's promotion of energy-certified LED lighting products has reached the advantages of replacing traditional lighting products in some areas. E.g

1. The LED downlight achieves a color temperature of 3000K and a color rendering index of 87.2. Under the premise that all the indicators meet the standard requirements, the light efficiency is reliable at 85lm/w, which is almost double that of a similar downlight with a compact fluorescent lamp.

2, LED PAR lamp achieves color temperature 5000K ~ 3000K, color rendering index 85, all indicators meet the requirements of the standard, the light efficiency is reliable (50 ~ 65) lm / w, almost higher than the similar PAR lamp with halogen lamps Music 2 to 3 times.

3. The LED light bulb with full light distribution has a color temperature of 3000K, a color rendering index of 87.2 and a light performance of 85lm/w under the premise that the space light distribution completely reaches the ordinary incandescent light distribution.

4. After adopting LED lamps in the tunnel, using its excellent control function, it has achieved 15%-20% energy saving compared with the use of three primary color fluorescent lamps or HID lamps, and the service life is greatly improved, the maintenance workload is greatly reduced, and the labor cost is reduced. It is only about 35% of the traditional lighting fixtures.

General conclusions and recommendations

1. The effects of blue light hazard and “blue-rich” lighting are not unique to LED lighting products. Some of the previous metal halide lamps and some fluorescent lamps have existed for a long time.

2, to correctly distinguish between blue light hazard and "rich blue" lighting affects people's Sichen rhythm in two different situations, blue light hazard means that when the blue light radiance reaches the standard 2 or 3 categories, it will be The short-term or instantaneous damage to the human eye is based on GB/T 20145-2006/CIE S009/E:2002, based on the CTL-0744_2009-laser resolution. The physiological impact of "rich blue" lighting on people is that it is silent and it will take several months or even a few years to significantly affect the human syllabic rhythm. This is the frontier of current world scientific research. There are many research reports on the subject, but there is no corresponding assessment standard.

3. At present, some people in China believe that the GB/T 20145-2006/CIE S009/E:2002 standard has been promulgated and implemented very early. Is it now obsolete? However, the standard is still valid internationally, including developed countries and regions. version of. The formulation of international standards is based on the collection and analysis of a large number of experimental data. However, China has not conducted systematic and purposeful experiments and research in this respect. It is inappropriate to say that standard outdated is not appropriate. It is also necessary to pay attention to the revision of the Chinese international standards.

4, under normal circumstances, indoors can only use LED light products classified as Class 1 and below. For special populations (people affected by diabetes and photosensitizers) or who may be in a special position (such as infants) who can look directly at LED lights, use non-hazardous LED lighting products.

5. Blue light is an important part of white light, so the theory of filtering out blue light under normal conditions is one-sided. It is correct to choose the illumination component and quality according to the physiological rhythm of human beings. In order to avoid the possible adverse effects on human health caused by the use of high color temperature and rich blue LED lighting products, the color temperature of indoor LED lighting products should not exceed 4000K, and the general color rendering index should reach 80 or more. Indoor lighting should avoid the use of LED lighting products with color temperature of 5000K and above. At present, it is completely feasible to promote the technology and cost of low color temperature LED products.

6. Returning to the original, simulating the illumination, light color and changes under natural conditions, is the highest level of lighting product design, manufacturing and lighting design and implementation. For special people and special occasions, it can adjust the proven spectrum and color of light. In this respect, LED lighting is the most effective.
