It is reported that there are currently three pilot demonstrations of domestic steel intelligent manufacturing, and Baosteel's 1580 hot rolling intelligent workshop is one of them.

Relevant persons of Baosteel Co., Ltd. told reporters that Baosteel Co., Ltd. is a smart factory pilot project that selects the core part of steel manufacturing “hot rolling 1580 workshop”. The construction of the intelligent workshop will be completed in 2017, which will significantly improve the quality, energy efficiency and labor efficiency of the 1580 hot rolling workshop. The estimated economic benefit is over 32 million yuan/year. This is a smart manufacturing pilot for a complete production line. Through the demonstration pilot, the intelligent manufacturing practice method of the steel process industry will be formed and a number of key technologies will be broken through, and an intelligent steel rolling demonstration plant will be established.

In addition to the construction of the 1580 intelligent workshop, in accordance with the guidelines for the work of the point and face, the first and the second is difficult, in 2015 and 2016, Baosteel will screen 23 pilot projects, with an estimated investment of more than 1 billion yuan.
