2) Infotainment system solution

Switching power supplies for infotainment system power supplies are available in two types, buck and boost. 3) Automotive LED lighting solutions

LED lighting has the advantages of high light efficiency, low power consumption, long service life, strong safety and reliability, environmental protection and more energy saving. Common automotive LED lighting driving solutions include resistors, linear current regulators (CCR), linear regulators, and switching regulators. The energy efficiency of these different schemes has been improved, but the complexity is also increasing. Among them, the resistance cost is the lowest, there is no electromagnetic interference problem, it depends on the voltage, the energy efficiency is the lowest, the maximum current of the LED can be simply limited, but the energy efficiency is also the lowest, and there are problems such as LED screening cost and thermal runaway. CCR performance is better than resistance, cost is lower than linear regulator, no electromagnetic interference problem, wide voltage range, high power density package, can protect LED, comply with AEC-Q101 certification, energy efficiency is low. The linear regulator's current stabilization accuracy is ± 2%. It uses multi-circuit, over-power self-regulation, no EMI problems, moderate cost, and low energy efficiency. Switching regulators have high energy efficiency, require special jacks, are relatively expensive, and can cause electromagnetic interference.

ON Semiconductor's automotive LED driver is very rich.
