According to reports, compared with the ordinary LED driver, the output power of the new product is 200mA, the output current is increased by about 3~5 times, and the output current precision is controlled to ±3%.

The new product adopts the source driving method, and after the driver IC board and the LED circuit board are cut to one line, the open/short detection required for the vehicle use can be easily realized. The brightness of the taillights and the brightness of the brake lights can be set independently of the independent current, which greatly facilitates the design of the vehicle taillights. The P-BUS function and the LED open/short detection protection function enrich the fail-safe function.

In addition, the development of this new product has set up a dedicated production line for the automotive market. After the automotive electrical products are greatly expanded, ROHM will further strengthen the serialization of LED driver IC products.
