Among them, Visible Light Communication (VLC) medical instrument positioning system can effectively improve the efficiency of nursing staff. Liu Junting, deputy director of the Industrial Research Institute, pointed out that nursing staff need to take inventory equipment when they need to pay for the work. It usually takes one to two hours to complete the operation. With LED lighting combined with VLC technology as an indoor positioning system, you can master the high-end instruments at any time. Location, after the shift time of medical staff, can be shortened to 20 minutes. The system has been introduced to Changhua Christian Hospital this year and will start from a small area. It is expected to see results before the end of the year. Liu Junting said that the ITRI also cooperates with Cathay Hospital, and plans to introduce the positioning system into the emergency room application, so that the hospital can keep track of the instrument, bed and personnel positioning, and further arrange the scheduling through the system to improve the chaos of the emergency room. ITRI ​​also cooperated with National Taiwan University Hospital to use the VLC positioning system as an indoor navigation and information guide. In addition, the system allows medical staff to instantly grasp the patient's situation and test results through smart mobile devices. This also means that VLC and related technical requirements are quite high, not only to greatly increase the transmission speed, but also to change the overall system architecture. . Another LED smart hospital lighting application demonstrated by the Institute of Industrial Engineering is intelligent LED lighting for light therapy. Liu Junting used skin disease diagnosis and treatment as an example to show that the light source illuminates the skin and causes severe pain. However, using the LED array light source to carry the intelligent system, the light source can be concentrated on the skin infection range, and different wavelengths of light source can be selected for different bacteria. Treatment. In addition to physical medicine, intelligent LED people can also treat psychological problems due to lighting, and light therapy can help patients with depression or insomnia improve.
