SCHURTER eco-design 5120 series features an IEC C14 input socket with an integrated EMI filter. This product line not only includes traditional mounting options and connection terminals but also introduces two new configurations: one with built-in wire connections and another designed for board mounting. These new versions are engineered to simplify installation, reduce time and costs, and deliver superior filtering performance while maintaining a lightweight design. The existing version offers conventional mounting methods such as screw or snap-in, along with quick connect or soldered terminals. It also includes pre-formed threaded holes or rivets to speed up the assembly process. The newly introduced built-in wire version helps lower operational and additional costs, making it more efficient for manufacturers. Additionally, the board-mountable option allows for secure attachment to the circuit board, and a quick-connect terminal is used for grounding, ensuring a reliable and stable connection. The image above showcases the eco-friendly 5120 IEC filter power input plug series. As technology, medical, and industrial equipment face increasingly rigorous EMC testing, the metal flanges of the 5120 Series provide excellent shielding on panel openings. The compact design avoids the use of potting compounds, making it lighter and easier to recycle. This series has obtained ENEC and cURus certifications, meeting the standards of IEC 60950 and EN 60601-1 for office and medical equipment. It supports rated currents of 10 amps at 250 volts (ENEC/UL/CSA) or 15 amps at 125/250 volts (UL/CSA).
