On February 5, Lunda, a vertically integrated LED factory based in Taiwan, reported that its revenue for January 2018 reached 968 million New Taiwan Dollars (NTD), marking an 11.96% increase compared to the previous month and a 1.04% rise from the same period last year. This performance helped the company break out of the typical off-season slowdown that usually occurs during the fourth quarter of the previous year, showing strong momentum in January.
In terms of backlight applications, Lunda is actively investing in new display technologies such as quantum dots and Mini LEDs. The company’s current high-end products, including HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Color Gamut) models, are already in stable production and being used in TV and e-sports display panels.
For lighting applications, Lunda's Solar White technology offers a unique advantage by simulating the natural solar spectrum, allowing objects under its illumination to be rendered in true-to-life colors. This technology has been incorporated into COB (Chip On Board) and various SMD (Surface Mount Device) series products, offering up to 35 times higher efficiency than conventional solutions. As a result, it has gained popularity among European and American customers in specialized commercial lighting applications.
