This technology allows the white LED to operate at an operating voltage of 1A and a junction temperature (Tj) of 85 °C with a 3.0V operating voltage (Tj is about 3.2V at room temperature). When the color temperature (CCT) is adjusted to 5000K, the luminous flux is as high as 175 lumens at an operating current of 350 mA.
To meet the high efficiency requirements of lighting applications, the fan-out type grain structure greatly improves current spreading and heat transfer capability with P and N electrodes with fan-out design, thus significantly reducing operating voltage and increasing luminous flux.
Compared with the general high-power crystal grains, the fan-out type grain structure exhibits superior luminous flux saturation characteristics, especially in a high current operation environment. Such LED elements containing fan-out grains are expected to be widely used for general illumination and various white light illumination applications requiring high efficiency.
